Task 4

Task 4
What the technology is
CRT Monitors
CRT monitors stand for Cathode Ray Tube and there are many types of advantages and disadvantages within the CRT monitors. Some advantages of a CRT monitor is that they are able to operate at their highest peak of resolution which is available, therefore the monitor displays images at their highest resolution available.

LCD Monitors
LCD monitors stands for Liquid crystal display and there are many features within the monitor. One if features an LCD monitor is that LCD monitors provides the user with an extreme amount of energy saving over LCD total life span.
Another feature an LCD monitor provides the user is the ability to change the options of a LCD monitor for an example, increasing the brightness or contrast of the monitor.

Evolution of CRT monitors to LCD monitors
Within the years from 5 to 7 years LCD monitors have developed over CRT monitors and there are going to be many types of points of how that happened.
One way of how CRT monitors have evolved to LCD will be that LCD monitors are very energy efficient because an LCD monitor only uses an amount of 18-32 watts on average of electricity, but instead a CRT monitor is less energy efficient because A CRT monitor uses energy about up to 80watts depending on its age of development.
Another way of how CRT monitors have evolved to LCD monitors is that LCD monitors has effected the product of graphics by the screen flickers in a very slightly less noticeable way because of its higher refresh rate, but rather than a CRT monitor which flickering occurs more because of the less refresh rate of the CRT monitor’s screen.
An additional way of how CRT monitors have evolved to LCD monitors is by most CRT monitors having a glare screen which causes more glare onto the CRT monitors than a LCD monitors. A monitors does not obtain a glass screen which gives it the advantage of not been able to have any glare.
Another alternative way of how CRT monitors have evolved to LCD monitors is also because of the physical size display of CRT monitors than LCD monitors which are thinner than CRT monitors.
Also a CRT has also evolved LCD is by the weight of the monitor, for an example a CRT monitor weighs an average of 45 pounds or less or more depending on the size of the monitor you got, but depending on LCD monitors, they weight a lot less than a CRT monitor of an estimate of around 7 to 10 pounds.

Task 3

Task 3
Limitation of Inkjet comparison to laser printers
One limitation of an inkjet printer is that it spits ink onto the paper and loses some of its quality, rather than a laser printer which prints text or images with better quality on paper than an inkjet printer.
Another limitation of the inkjet printer is that it takes long to dry out the ink after its process is complete, but in the other hand a laser printer provides you with fast printing speed than an inkjet printer.
An additional limitation of an inkjet printer is that it sometimes outputs images in low quality rather than a laser printer which outputs images in high resolution.
An extra limitation of an inkjet printer is that their workload is around the amount of 1500 to 15,000 page range, but for a laser printer it has the workloads around an amount of 2,000 and 20,000.

Limitation of Laser printer comparison to inkjet printers
One limitation of a laser printer is that it consumes more power for it to function properly, but in the other hand an inkjet printer consumes less power to function properly.
Another limitation of a laser printer is that it is really expensive to purchase than an inkjet printer because of their difference between their specifications.
An additional limitation of a laser printer is that it takes very long to print out images with colour than an inkjet printer which prints out an image with a lot faster than a laser printer.

My conclusion: Laser printers vs Inkjet printers
My conclusion is that if I make a decision of purchasing an inkjet printer and a laser printer I would purchase a laser printer because it would grant me the ability to be able to print out images with high resolution colour than an inkjet printer which would print out images ion low resolution colour because it spits ink onto the paper.
Another reason why I would choose a laser printer over a inkjet printer is that it will grant me to print out images more faster and this would be an advantage because I would be able to complete what I am trying without time consuming, but in the other hand, for an inkjet printer if I print out an image, it would be time consuming because the inkjet printer spits colour onto your paper you are printing and therefore I would have to wait till the paper is dry before I can use it.

Limitation of Adobe Photoshop
One limitation of Adobe Photoshop is that it cost a lot of money to purchase than other type of graphical software’s such as Adobe illustrator, this is because Adobe Photoshop is normally built for bitmap images.
Another limitation of Adobe Photoshop is that it is a bit difficult to use for a beginner but instead adobe illustrator is more easy to use for beginners because it is a software which is easily understandable.
An additional limitation for Adobe Photoshop is that if you resize the images resolution would be lost, but as for Adobe illustrator resizing the images will not cause the image to lose quality.
An alternative limitation of Adobe Photoshop is that the software is built only for photo manipulation therefore it is not really used for logo development and so on, but in the other hand for Adobe illustrator, the software is built in for logo development and other types of cartoon image development because Adobe illustrator uses vector graphics and Adobe Photoshop uses Bitmap graphics.
An extra limitation of Adobe Photoshop is that within the software it doesn’t support multiple page output for PDF but as for Adobe illustrator, the software has the ability to support.
Another additional limitation of Adobe Photoshop is that it does not normally use vector graphics for development and it is not normally used for logo or animation development because Adobe Photoshop is Bitmap graphics, rather than Illustrator which is uses vector graphics and logo and animation development.
Limitation of Adobe illustrator
One limitation of illustrator is that it is difficult for the software to produce a realistic photo because it is normally built for creating vector images, in the other hand Photoshop has the ability to improve the realism of a photo published on the software, because the software of Photoshop is built just for bitmap images.
Another limitation of Adobe illustrator is that it is not possible to produce an image which would look realistic because Adobe illustrator designs vector images for an example cartoons, logos and so on, but for Adobe Photoshop you are able to make images realistic because the software is used for bitmap development and editing bitmap images.
An additional limitation of Adobe illustrator is that organising the elements is a bit more difficult than Adobe Photoshop because Adobe Photoshop has the ability to handle layers.
An extra limitation of adobe illustrator is that it is not supported by Bitmap images, rather than Photoshop which is supported to use Bitmap images.

My conclusion: Adobe Photoshop vs Adobe illustrator
My conclusion of Adobe Photoshop vs Adobe illustrator is that if there was a decision to choose one of the software, I would choose Adobe Photoshop because it grants you the ability to manipulate bitmap images and it also grants you the ability to edit and modify images. Another reason why I would choose Adobe Photoshop is that it gives you the ability to make images extremely realistic which would be an advantage for me to use for developments.

Task 2

Task 2
Vector graphics: Software Adobe illustrator
A vector image is an images created with a software by objects. There are many types of software used for vector graphics, some are known as Adobe illustrator,
Adobe illustrator works by shapes and fonts and the software can be used for drawing images and creating loges, cartoons and so on. As illustrator is based on vector, the software could allow you to resize images without the loose of resolution, in addition, adobe illustrator also grants you the ability to print out images with high resolution.
It is also known that if you draw an Adobe illustrator, it is composed by two dots which are connected by a computer algorithm.

Bitmap Software: Photoshop
A bitmap image is a photograph of a product captured by a digital camera which displays images pixelated. Some types of software’s which are used for bitmap development are known as Microsoft Paint, Photoshop and so on. A bitmap image is an image which is created by millions and billions of small squares which form up a picture and they are known as pixels. The higher the resolution of a picture the more amount of pixels is used within that picture.

Image viewer Vector & Bitmap software display
Windows photo viewer is a software that is formed and developed by Microsoft which displays pictures on computer system. The software has the advantage of changing the format of the image for an example if you have a PNG format of an image the image viewer software gives you the advantage to transfer that software into a JPEG format. An example of how this image viewer displays images and pictures will be by downloading images from the internet and opening it up or opening images which could be already found.
This is a one of a screenshot of how windows photo viewer displays images on the computer system. As you can see clearly windows photo viewer grants you the opportunity to play your image in a slide show by clicking the image logo in the middle of the right arrow and left arrow.
Pisca Vector & Bitmap software display
Another software that displays both vector and bitmap images is known as Picasa. Pisca is a software formed and created by a company known as Lifescape, and Pisca is now bought by multimillion company called google, which they included to make the software free to use grants you the ability to use more options than windows photo viewer, for an example Pisca grants you the ability to transform your images and pictures with effects, Pisca also grants you to online share images to friends and family. Pisca could be easily learnt by beginners.
